Omega Psi Phi Charities of Nevada (OPPCON) is a nonprofit, 501C3 organization based in the city of Las Vegas. Formed in 2002 as an affiliate of the Kappa Xi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., OPPCON seeks, through dedication and an innovative approach to addressing unmet and/or under-targeted community needs, to improve the quality of life for residents of the greater metropolitan area of Las Vegas as well as Clark County and its unincorporated municipalities.

Through their civic and community activities, Omega Psi Phi Charities of Nevada and the Kappa Xi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., serve the cities of Las Vegas Nevada, Henderson, Nevada and surrounding areas. Through various fundraising activities, solicitation of corporate and community support and strategic partnerships with like-minded groups, OPPCON seeks to increase its charitable capacity and make a positive and tangible difference in the lives of the people it touches.

Our Objectives

To provide charitable services to the general public to include:

  • Awarding scholarships to African-American males graduating from the Clark County School District
  • Teaching power of financial literacy and cooperative economics through an annual Economic Summit
  • Mentoring high school males via the Omega Gents, a youth group for young men ages 14-18
  • Offering a medium for youth in the performing arts to display their talents via Talent Hunt Program
  • Partnering with civic-minded organizations (AKA, Cultural Diversity Foundation, Sigma Gamma Rho)
  • Making monetary donations to schools (Mackey Magnet, H.P. Fitzgerald, Rancho HS, Mojave HS)
  • Hosting workshops aimed at increasing computer literacy (Computer Boot Camp training series)
  • Sponsoring programs and activities that promote healthy lifestyles (Blood drives, health walks, etc).

Omega Psi Phi Charities of Nevada is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit public benefit corporation organized under the Internal Revenue Service’s Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law for public and charitable purposes. All contributions to OPPCON are tax deductable.
